Colorado to Shut Down COVID Network Sites as Call Reaches Record High

Colorado ends the remaining COVID-19 network sites in the state on Jan. 15. There are 20 network sites that still operate through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

CDPHE said the reason the site’s closure is due to lower testing calls and the popularity of at-home testing.

“Colorado is proud to have opened one of the nation’s first self-service verification sites in March 2020. Since then, we’ve provided millions of checks to Coloradans at more than 150 network verification sites across Colorado. Coloradans have shifted from relying on giant network control sites to home control with immediately available home controls, physical care providers or local retail pharmacies. “Scott Bookman, commander of the COVID-19 incident, said in a statement. “With this transition, the state is focusing its efforts on check distribution strategies that Coloradans are using the most lately and offering check resources to those who want them the most. “

Colorado offers loose internal testing at more than two hundred distribution centers. Residents can also request loose tests to have delivered to their homes through the federal internal testing program.
