BOGOTA, September 16 (Reuters) – International flights from the Caribbean city of Cartagena, Colombia, will resume on September 19 with trips back to Florida, the government said Wednesday.

Last week, the government said foreign flights would reopen from September 21, marking the end of a six-month era in which they were suspected of being related to the spread of coronavirus.

A Spirit Airlines-operated flight is expected to arrive at Rafael Núñez Airport in Cartagena from Fort Lauderdale in 3 days, while local airline Viva Air is expected to fly from the Caribbean city to Miami on the same day, the government announced. Oliver Griffin; edited through Jonathan Oatis)
