Given the extent of India’s population, collective immunity “cannot be a strategic choice or choice,” the Ministry of Fitness said Thursday, urging others to maintain the right habit in Covid until a vaccine is developed.
At a press conference, when asked whether India opposed collective immunity as opposed to coronavirus infection, the Ministry of Health’s special service officer Rajesh Bhushan replied that collective immunity is a type of indirect coverage opposed to an infectious disease such as Covid-19.
This occurs when a population becomes immune through vaccination or by the progression of immunity from a past infection, he said.
“In a country of population length like India, collective immunity cannot be a strategic choice or option. This can only be a result, and this also with a very high charge because it means that thousands of other people will become infected, hospitalized and many would die in the process,” Bhushan said.
He said collective immunity can be vaccinated, but that’s in the future.
“Are we close to collective immunity? The Ministry of Health believes it is still and in the future. For now, we want to stick to a suitable habit at COVID, such as dressing in masks, avoiding meetings, tracking hand hygiene and being up to date.” ‘Make fuel ki doori (keep a distance of two meters)’ said the DSB.
“Until a vaccine arrives, following the proper habit of COVID is the social vaccine against the disease.” The official also stated that phase 1 and 2 human clinical trials of two evolved Covid-19 vaccine applicants had begun.
Bhushan also stated that the government had won 131 claims under Rs 50 lakh’s Covid-19 insurance plan for fitness service providers and that invoices had already been made in 20 cases.
“As a component of this program, we won 131 claims. Complaints are a little behind because families are first and foremost in shock, so it takes time to point out and complete the mandatory paperwork.” Of those 131 applications, in 20 cases, invoices have already been made. In sixty-four instances payment was processed and would be made in the coming days, while 47 instances are with other state governments,” he said.
As for coronavirus infection in the country, Bhushan said Maharashtra, Delhi and Telangana reported the maximum number of cases.
Thanks to the advanced testing infrastructure, an average of 4,68,263 Covid-19 tests were conducted from July 26-30. The cure rate for Covid-19 patients also increased from 7.85% in April to 64.44% on Thursday, the official said. .
“Recoveries are now 1.9 times the number of active coronavirus cases. Bhushan further said that 21 states and Union Territories have case positivity rate less than 10 per cent, while in four it is less than five per cent. The Covid-19 positivity rate in Rajasthan is 3.5 per cent, Punjab 3.9 per cent, Madhya Pradesh 4 per cent, and Jammu and Kashmir 4.7 per cent, he said.
The DSB also noted that effective clinical control had led to a minimum reduction in covid-19 case rates from 3.33% on 18 June to 2.21% on 30 July.
