STREET. CLOUD (WJON News) — You’ll be able to sample coffees from all over Minnesota this weekend in St. Cloud.
The second annual Cloud Coffee Fest will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a. m. m. a 2:00 p. m. in the parking lot of Kinder Coffee Lab at 203 Cooper Avenue North.
Taylor Feero is co-owner of Kinder Coffee and one of the organizers of the event. He says they wanted to bring their friends from the coffee world to the city.
In fact, our organization is made up of coffee enthusiasts and we appreciate what other coffees and roasters do. So they gave us a list of our favorites that we contacted right away, and then, since the coffee world is so small in Minnesota, other people started doing it. here. About the event, the roasters also contacted us.
He says that on that day there will be categories on other beer strategies.
There will be technical things of the deepest thinking kind with our coffee categories that we will have all day. And we will have the opportunity to chat with all the chemists, so to speak, in the coffee world, because the leading roasters will be on hand to communicate their vision of the science of coffee brewing.
Feero says coffee is as varied as wine and beer, depending on the region in which it is grown, how it is processed and how it is made. He says several other variables come into play in coffee quality.
More than 15 roasters and retail outlets from St. Cloud, Sartell, Avon, Minneapolis, Duluth and many more will participate in the event.
Participation in the Cloud Coffee Fest is free. Samples can be obtained with the purchase of a mini cup.
They will also have bakery products and a food truck. There will be music, fun activities for the kids, an inflatable space and fake tattoos.
The coffee industry has experienced an explosion in the Saint-Cloud metropolitan area in recent years, with the opening of several new coffee shops. Feero says:
“The more the merrier. It would be great if a coffee center St. Cloud set up in Minnesota.
He says coffee is more progressive on both coasts and needs to replace it here in Minnesota.
Feero says that for the first Cloud Coffee Fest last year, they hoped to attract another 500 people and only gave them about 2500.
Kinder Coffee Lab started in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a roasting company that shipped beans to people’s doorsteps. Now they also have a cafeteria. Kinder uses a few other coffee importers to source coffee from around the world, including Ethiopia, Brazil and Mexico.
