CHONGQING — Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan has the importance of taking swift action to deal with the existing COVID-19 outbreak without delay.
Sun made the remarks Monday during an inspection of Chongqing Township, southwest China, to advise local COVID-19 prevention and control work.
Sun called for immediate, resolute and decisive measures to cut the chain of transmission and involve the spread of the virus more temporarily to maximize economic and social progress and the well-being of others from the pandemic.
The COVID-19 scenario in Chongqing remains complex and severe as infections continue to rise. Sun ordered a clinical and accurate COVID-19 response, which she says is key to further prevention and work.
Sun also pushed for the need for accurate measures in terms of on-site epidemiological investigation and categorization of threat areas, and called for efforts to make certain people’s important medical and fundamental wishes fulfilled, accentuate surveillance and fitness control of key locations, and make certain traffic flow and strong trade and origin chains.
