Beijing (AFP) – The Chinese government opened investigations into some of the other people who racked up the weekend’s protests against COVID-19 restrictions, 3 others who attended the Beijing protests told reporters, as police remained in large numbers on the city’s streets.
In one case, a caller who identified himself as a police officer in the Chinese capital asked the protester to report to a police station on Tuesday to provide a written report of his activities on Sunday night.
In another, a student contacted him through his school and asked if he had been on the ground where the events had occurred and to provide him with a written account.
