China to hesitate on its COVID-19 “dynamic cleansing” strategy, fitness commission says

SHENZHEN, China (Reuters) – China will not hesitate to prevent a spike in COVID-19 and its “dynamic elimination” of cases as soon as they appear, a spokesman for China’s National Health Commission told a news conference on Saturday.

China’s existing strategy is still capable of COVID-19 despite the maximum transmissibility of COVID variants and asymptomatic carriers, a health official added.

China has a 0 COVID policy, which includes lockdowns, quarantines and rigorous testing, aimed at preventing COVID.
