China will require visitors arriving on flights from the United States to have a negative covid-19 virus result before boarding on September 15, according to a message posted on the Chinese Embassy’s website in the United States on September 4.
The check must be passed within 3 days prior to departure (see main points here).
China, the world’s largest epicenter of the pandemic, is believed to have controlled the spread, while the United States recorded more than 51,000 new cases on Friday, according to figures from the New York Times website.Travelling during the long Labor Day vacation can lead to a new peak in September and contribute to a “twindemic” when the flu season arrives soon.
Flights between the United States and China, two of the world’s largest trading partners, have been particularly reduced since the start of the pandemic.Carriers operating in China lately come with United and Delta.
