BEIJING (Reuters) – China reported 2,105 new COVID-19 infections on Oct. 29, including 401 symptomatic and 1,704 asymptomatic, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.

This compares with 1,658 new infections on Oct. 28, of which 377 symptomatic and 1,281 asymptomatic, which China has separately.

There are no new deaths, as the previous day, keeping the death toll at 5,226.

As of Oct. 29, mainland China has shown 259,438 with symptoms.

The Chinese capital, Beijing, reported 12 symptomatic cases and 3 asymptomatic cases, up to 20 symptomatic cases and two asymptomatic cases the previous day, according to local government data.

The Shanghai financial hub reported no symptomatic cases and nine asymptomatic cases, one symptomatic case and eight asymptomatic cases last day, the local health authority said.
