BEIJING, Sept 12 (Reuters) – Mainland China reported 1,094 new coronavirus cases on Sept. 11, 226 symptomatic and 868 asymptomatic, the National Health Commission said on Monday.
This compares with 1,303 new infections the previous day, of which 234 were symptomatic infections and 1,069 were asymptomatic.
There are no new deaths, keeping the death toll in the country at 5,226.
As of September 11, mainland China has shown 247,078 with symptoms.
The Chinese capital, Beijing, reported 15 new symptomatic cases, up from 8 the day before, and 0 new asymptomatic cases, up from two the day before.
Shanghai reported no new symptomatic local cases, to one the day before, and 3 new asymptomatic local cases, to seven the day before.
South China’s generation hub, Shenzhen, has reported 25 new COVID-19-transmitted infections, up from 20 the day before, according to the local government.
The southwestern city of Chengdu reported 41 new COVID-19 infections, up from 90 the day before, according to local government data.
