China records ninth consecutive day without transmission of COVID-19 cases

SHANGHAI (Reuters) – China reported its ninth consecutive day without a new COVID-19 case broadcast, while a primary college in Wuhan City opened face-to-face categories on Tuesday for the first time in 8 months.

The daily update of national fitness officials, which provided knowledge by Monday, showed that the recent series without new instances transmitted was extended to some other day.

There were 14 new imported cases, involving travelers returning from abroad, up from 16 the day before. There were also 16 new asymptomatic cases (patients infected with no symptoms) to 27 a day earlier.

In the central city where the virus was first detected, Wuhan University opened its doors to more than 9,100 academics on Monday.

The official Xinhua news firm reported that the university had been cleaned and disinfected very well. Students who return for conferences at the venue will get temperature controls and be asked to wear a mask in the library, the signature added.

Wuhan, who reported the first death by the new coronavirus in early January, has gained great attention for the speed at which life is returning to normal after months of restrictions and widespread viral testing.

Last week, Chinese state newspapers provided an amusement park in the city after photographs of a crowded pool party went viral abroad amid considerations of the spread of COVID-19. The media said the party reflected the good fortunes of the people in their efforts to control the viruses.

The total number of cases shown in China is 84,981, 4,634 deaths.
