Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 14 lineup on one occasion in September that is expected to begin in less than two months. While production of the newer models is underway, one of its partners’ factories in China is blocked by COVID.
As Bloomberg reported, Foxconn, which takes full advantage of Apple’s iPhone lineup, is one of the Shenzhen-based companies that has been subject to a more limited COVID lockdown in response to a backlog of cases.
The Chinese government has forced Foxconn and others to apply a “closed loop” formula for at least a week while the production center reports on its latest COVID-19 outbreak.
