China faces the “most critical and complicated moment” in the fight against COVID-19; Beijing closes parks and museums amid new wave

Amid a surge in COVID-19 cases, the Beijing-based Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Monday that China faces “the most confusing and severe anti-epidemic situation” since the coronavirus emerged, the Global Times reported.

500 known infections outside quarantine areas

Addressing a press conference on Nov. 21, Liu Xiaofeng, deputy director of the Beijing CDC, said China is at the “most critical and complicated moment” in the fight against the coronavirus. and families with underlying diseases.

The cases included more than 500 known infections outside quarantine spaces through community-level testing. Anti-epidemic measures

Authorities have suggested that others arriving in Beijing stay home before the negative effects of the test are announced. As community-level COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Beijing, local officials held an anti-epidemic briefing on Sunday.
