Chilean foreigner Altamirano is solid and feels intelligent after the match collapsed

BUENOS AIRES (AP) — Chilean foreigner Javier Altamirano was in good condition and doing well after Collos Angeles suffered an attack with Estudiantes de los Angeles Plos Angelesta, the club’s doctor said.

The 24-year-old midfielder fell out of his side’s 0-0 draw Sunday night against Boca Juniors in an Argentine league match that was suspended after 27 minutes of play while medical staff tended to Altamirano.

An ambulance arrived at the court to take Altamirano to the hospital. The players wept as the Chilean’s pregnant wife watched from the stands.

Team doctor Hugo Montenegro said Sunday night that Altamirano’s condition is solid and he feels good.

“What is that he came out of this episode of convulsions,” Montenegro said. “He’s in therapy, under observation. “

Additional testing scheduled for Monday.
