THE Paris Olympics were chaos from day one after Argentina and Morocco had to play the last 3 minutes of their match in an empty stadium.
Argentina gave the impression of having equalized in the last minute in Wednesday’s debatable clash.
With 15 minutes of overtime, the kings of the Copa América discovered the 30 seconds later than the allowed time.
But there are dramatic scenes such as the throwing of firecrackers from the stands.
Fans also invaded the pitch as the referee looked like he was blowing the whistle full-time.
And the players from both sides ran through the tunnel to escape the massacre.
However, the Argentine media TyC Sport temporarily reported that possibly the referee’s whistle would have been unfinished to SUSPEND the attack and then end it.
The players waited in the locker room while the directors rushed to solve the problem.
The Olympics’ official online page also said the adjustment was “interrupted” and not completed.
And 90 minutes after the players left the field, it was announced that VAR had disallowed Argentina’s equalizer for offside.

Both groups were then informed that they had 10 minutes left to play in an empty stadium, as the referee’s whistle had announced the suspension of the game.
And then they resumed their attack at 6pm BST in the 116th minute, with 3 minutes remaining.
The voices of players and coaches echoed in the empty stands in chilling scenes reminiscent of football during the Covid pandemic.
But Morocco held on to save Argentina from a tie and celebrated at the final whistle.
There was also drama before kick-off when fans booed Argentina’s national anthem following last week’s racist storm.
Enzo Fernández published a video in which he and his teammates appear singing a despicable song about the France team.
And obviously boos were heard when the Argentine anthem played before a ball was kicked.
