FARMINGTON – The Farmington Chamber of Commerce does not let a pandemic save you from finding out which local company has the highest artistic product connected to Chile.
For years, the room presented its occasion of Chile in October in Berg Park, an annual occasion that invites visitors to model the chili in several attractive restaurants and vote for the winners in five categories, adding red, green, taste of the house and sauce. It attracts a giant and hungry crowd, offering outdoor coffee and live music with food. Raises the budget for other camera systems scattered throughout the year.
But since the ban on such meetings remains in place because of the governor’s public aptitude orders, House President and CEO Jamie Church had to locate a new format for this year’s event. Inspire local citizens to up to 12 local businesses that offer a chili-based product, verify a pattern, and vote for their favorite.
Chile in October Chile Challenge 2020 will take place from October 14 to 23, but companies are encouraged to participate now. The festival will be limited to 12 corporations and will not be limited to the classic chili dishes of northern New Mexico, or even food, Church noted. He said he hoped to see a Thai food stall move on to a chili dish, a local brewery moving on to a chili-based beer or cider, or a dessert shop moving on to a chili-based frozen yogurt.
“As long as it’s Chile, we’ll think about it,” Church said.
Each corporate involved will be represented through a square on a Chilean passport card, which will come with the call of the product in which the corporate entered. Customers involved in the program can these corporations and request a loose pattern from the “Salón Chile”.
Customers who have visited at least six of the corporations and validated their card can send their card to the room and vote for their favorite for the public prize. Anyone who completes all 12 card boxes will be eligible for a sweepstakes at the end of the contest.
Church stated that the participation is for members of the chamber and that 4 restaurants had already been registered for the contest on the afternoon of September 18, just hours after its announcement.
This year’s occasion will not be used as a laughing matter for the room. With so many corporations suffering from the closure of COVID-19, Church said the purpose of this year’s contest was just to publicize a laugh, and perhaps convince local diners to check a place to eat or a business they hadn’t visited before.
“This is for us to keep doing Chile in October and host an autumn themed event,” he said.
The winning company will get a year of loose advertising in the camera newsletter and popularity on the camera home page as a Public Choice winner, plus a win sale signal as well as a trophy.
Nominations for the festival must be submitted to the chamber until Friday, September 25. Each participating company will obtain a poster that will designate it as the site of the Chile Challenge, and the companies will obtain Chilean passports to distribute to customers. supply your own tasting cups and spoons.
