CentraCare: COVID-19 testing will now be done in clinics, sidewalk testing at Waite Park will close

Residents of central Minnesota will soon have to make an appointment for a COVID-19 checkup in Waite Park at a curbside control clinic.

On Tuesday, CentraCare announced that curbside control will close at the end of Saturday, Sept. 3.

According to health care officials, the shutdown is due to the number of widely available, fine-tuning choice features, as well as the minimal demand for forArray.

Instead, patients will need to undergo testing at CentraCare Clinic – Southway starting Sept. 6 and at CentraCare – Sartell on Sept. 7. However, no tests will be conducted at the Sartell and Southway clinics.

The collection of COVID-19 tests will be separated from other laboratories and will be carried out in the collection area. In addition, CentraCare states that patients will not be registered through the front desk upon arrival for COVID-19 testing.

Walk-in visits will not be accepted at clinics and appointments will be made by calling 320-200-3200 or online by CLICKING HERE.
