The Central Epidemic Command Center announced two imported instances of COVID-19, bringing the total number of instances shown in the country to 451.
Case 450 is a woman in her twenties who returned from paintings in the United States on Sunday, but reported no symptoms until two days later, while in quarantine, CECC spokesman Chuang Jen-hsiang (莊 祥) said.
The health government met 35 other people who had contact with the woman, 24 of whom needed insulation in the house, he said.

The other 11 are flight attendants who want to practice self-control of their fitness because they have followed appropriate protective measures on board, Chuang said.
Case 451 is a man in his fifties who had worked in Oguy and returned Wednesday from Dubai to Taiwan, Chuang said.
Authorities have met 39 other people who have had contact with the man, 22 of whom want insulation from the house, he said.
Another 17 are flight attendants of other nationalities, he said, adding that the centre would tell their respective countries the national focal point for foreign aptitude regulation.
When asked Thursday whether Wales and Northern Ireland would stick to England’s leadership by lifting the 14-day quarantine requirement for Taiwan’s lers from yesterday, Chuang said the centre welcomed the latest development, but added that foreigners were not encouraged unless it was for business. Japan is reportedly making plans for a list of countries at the current time, adding Taiwan, China, and South Korea, which would be allowed to the country, but the plan has not yet been finalized, the Foreign Ministry said.
The ministry expressed its hope in Tokyo that Taiwan would be included, he added.
Meanwhile, the CCCB said that the outbreak of so-called “unknown pneumonia” in Kazakhstan, reported through the Chinese Embassy in kazakhstan, may be connected to COVID-19, but more main points are needed.
The outbreak of non-COVID-19 pneumonia caused 1,772 deaths in the first part of the year, adding up 628 last month, the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan said Thursday.
The embassy said Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Health had explained the nature of the virus in question. The ministry refuted Chinese media reports suggesting that “unknown pneumonia,” more deadly than COVID-19, is sweeping the country.
Chuang said that while he showed that COVID-19 cases in Kazakhstan have increased particularly since last week, he reported only a 0.48% mortality rate, below the global average of 4.57%, which is questionable.
He added that Kazakhstan’s positive verification effects rate for COVID-19 increased from 5% last month to 23% this week, suggesting that some other people with minor symptoms had not been identified.
