CDC Warns Four More Countries Pose “High” Threat as COVID Cases Rise

More destinations have been upgraded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to their “high” threat category as COVID-19 cases rise.

On Monday, the firm moved countries in Bolivia, Lebanon, Peru and Tunisia to the “high” threat category of point 3, as their COVID scenario has worsened in recent days. The CDC considers a location to be Level 3 when it has more than a hundred COVID-19 cases consistent with 100,000 citizens reported in the past 28 days.

All 4 countries were listed as “moderate” Tier 2 hazards for COVID cases last week.

Currently, level 3 is the threat category indexed through the CDC, as it has now reserved its “far superior” level four list for excessive cases, such as an excessively high number of virus cases, the emergence of a new variant, or a complete collapse. of physical care.

To date, no destination is indexed in the Tier Four category, while the Tier 3 category has about 115 indexed places out of the roughly 235 countries monitored through the CDC.

Other countries in the “high” Level 3 threat category come with much of Europe and the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Malaysia and South Korea.

The CDC warns that before traveling to a Tier 3 destination, U. S. travelers will need to be up to date on all of their COVID vaccines, but added that “even if you are up to date on your COVID-19 vaccines, you may be in danger of contracting and spreading COVID-19.

On Monday, a location was also moved to the “moderate” point 2 threat category through the CDC – Fiji. Fiji was in the past in the “low” Level 1 threat category, but recently noticed an increase in COVID cases.

A Tier 2 country has between 50 and 100 covid cases reported according to another 100,000 people in the last 28 days.

Lately there are 16 posts in the Level 2 category, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Colombia, Poland and Ethiopia.

The CDC also updated its “low” Threat category of Level 1, adding Romania to the list. Romania was placed in the Level 2 category last week and has since noticed that its COVID scenario has improved.

A Tier 1 destination has or fewer instances of COVID consistent with a population of 100,000 reported in the past 28 days.

The Level 1 category of “low risk” has recently had more than 40 destinations, adding countries such as El Salvador, Moldova, Tanzania, Cuba, Egypt, China, India and Indonesia.

Finally, 4 destinations (Armenia, Laos, Liberia, and Mongolia) were added to the CDC’s “unknown” threat category where reliable data on COVID cases is available. The CDC warns that it opposes traveling to an “unknown” category country.
