Walensky is self-isolating at home, according to the CDC
CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky is self-isolating at home after testing positive for COVID Friday night, according to fitness officials.
WASHINGTON — The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Rochelle Walensky was tested for COVID-19 on Friday night.
According to a CDC statement, Walensky is up to date on his vaccinations and has symptoms.
In accordance with CDC guidelines, fitness officials said Walensky is self-isolating at home and will practically participate in his scheduled meetings.

Senior CDC officials and close contacts have been notified of his positive control and are taking appropriate steps to monitor his health, he said.
