Covid-19 takes advantage of South Africa’s big investments

Large corporations have had time to think about their characteristics, as the Covid-19 pandemic has noticed that the South African government has taken drastic steps to reduce the effect of the pandemic on the country and its people. Many industries have been heavily affected, namely the wine and tobacco sectors, as well as production and restaurants. In addition, all local (business only) and foreign flights were suspended before the Covid-19 pandemic. The most recent company to reconsider its position is South African Breweries, which ended a $290 million investment after a new ban on alcohol, which the government said was the cause of the increase in violence after its initial ban. Lately there are more than 500,000 new cases of coronavirus in the country.
