The country’s largest union, Nehawu, has threatened to go on strike because fitness personnel face an insufficient source of protective equipment and civil service personnel call for a pay rise until 2020.the economy shows an increase in unemployment and debt.The city of Cape Town also blamed the pandemic for stagnation of several projects, with nearly $27.7 million to allocate to the city’s tight budget for 2020/21.Covid-19 deaths in South Africa increased to 12,618 with instances shown at 599,940 and recoveries to 497,169.
