Japan enters a “new phase” of the coronavirus outbreak
The number of coronavirus cases in Japan has reached more than 500, totaling 454 on a cruise ship docked near Tokyo. The Ministry of Health is working to devise measures to limit the outbreak, but infections continue to appear in the country’s prefectures. Authorities are struggling to identify infection routes in at least four of the cases. Health Minister Katsunobu Kato said on Saturday that Japan had entered a “new phase” of the epidemic.
