Iran provides ‘detailed answers’ to UN inspectors at 2 sites where synthetic uranium remnants were found

Iran said on Wednesday it had given new main points to the United Nations over two sites near Tehran that inspectors said had artificial uranium lines, as part of a wider investigation as tensions remain high over the Islamic Republic’s complex program. Mohammad Eslami, head of Iran’s civilian nuclear program, comes as the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers continues to tatter and Tehran enriches uranium closer than ever to weapons-grade levels.
