In March 1928, the U. S. government, acceding to requests from the honduran and Guatemalan governments to assist them in a new attempt to resolve their long-running border dispute, appointed Roy T. Davis, the U. S. attorney’s secretary. To constitute the State Department in a joint commission to examine the scenario in plenary and, if possible, draw a provisional demarcation.
