The European Union is negotiating early acquisition agreements for potential vaccines opposed to COVID-19 with the drug brands Moderna, Sanofi and Johnson and Johnson as biotech corporations BioNtech and CureVac, two European resources told Reuters.

EU leaders failed to advance on Friday in negotiations on a large stimulus package to revive the economies ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic, and returned to their brussels hotels a short time early to rest and retire in the morning.
