On Friday, 3257 new instances of coronavirus 2019 (Covid-19) were added in the Philippines (PH), bringing the total number of instances to approximately 280,000 with approximately 66,000 instances active lately, according to the Ministry of Health.
Of the existing total of 279,526 cases, 65,906 are active, of which 96. 3 are compatible with the percentage and are asymptomatic; 1. 1% are serious cases; and 2. 6 percent consistent are critical cases.
The National Capital Region (NCR) recorded the number of new instances of Covid-19 to 997, followed by Bulacan, Cavite, Negros Occidental and Cebu.
With 733 new recoveries, total recoveries reached 208,790, while 47 joined the death toll of 4,830.
Of the 47 deaths, 23 were from the NCR, 11 from Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), 4 from central Visayas, 3 from northern Mindanao and the other six from another region.
The PH assessed another 3,089,619 people with an overall positivity rate of 10. 5%, unchanged from yesterday’s percentage.
The World Health Organization has recorded a total of 29. 7 million cases of Covid-19 and another 937,391 people die from the disease.
