Of the total cases, 50,473 are active cases, according to the most recent knowledge provided through the DOH.
Apart from that, there were 569 additional recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 66,837.
However, the number of COVID-19 deaths in the increased to 2,150 after the DOH recorded 28 new deaths.
The DOH also noted that there were 81 duplicates, including two recovered instances, that were removed from the total number of instances.
One case, added the DOH, which in the past was reported as a death, was then validated as a recovery and is now included in the overall recovery count.
