Canadian Embassy to expand projects in Dominican Republic

Through the Canadian Fund in the Dominican Republic, the Canadian Embassy has signed nine new projects that have gender equality as a cross-cutting axis, namely women, others in vulnerability, transparency, prosperity, human rights and the COVID-19 scenario. in the country.

These projects satisfy the wishes of the affected communities and the regulations and demands of the Dominican Republic.

Among these projects is the “Public Health Emergency Response to the Covid-19 Crisis” with the medical entity.

In the communities of Jeringa and Las Flores, in San Cristobal, with South Future, they will expand an allocation to provide a public emergency conditioning reaction and humanitarian aid for coVID-19 prevention among vulnerable women.

They will provide a contribution of resources to the subject InnovaLab, Innovation Laboratory for Democracy with Citizen Participation; with UNDP will contribute to the task “Inclusive Socioeconomic Recovery and Livelihoods of LGBTI People, Persons with Disabilities and Post-COVID-19 Migrants” and to create an application for the Single Project for the Empowerment of Girls in Cabarete, Puerto Plata with The Dream Project.
