OTTAWA – Canada predicts a moderate situation in the worst case where new waves of coronavirus would intermittently overwhelm the public fitness system, authorities said Friday.
Under this scenario, there would be a significant peak at the end of this year, followed by a series of smaller peaks and valleys until January 2022. Each of the peaks would exceed the capacity of the health care system. (Report through David Ljunggren edited through Chizu Nomiyama)
