BALI, Indonesia (AP) — Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said Tuesday he tested positive for coronavirus and his delegation will go to Bali for the G20 summit.

Hun Sen met with more than a dozen world leaders over the past three days, adding President Biden, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India. All had flown to Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital, for the Southeast Association meeting of Asian nations, which began Saturday.

The White House told reporters Tuesday that Biden had tested negative that morning and was not considered a close contact, as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention explained.

In a Facebook post, Hun Sen wrote that before leaving Cambodia, he had been tested every day, adding just before boarding his plane to Bali, an island in Indonesia.

“It is fortunate that I did not participate in the dinner organized through the French government with several heads of state last night, because I was late,” he said.

Hun Sen said the Cambodian delegation would return home on Tuesday and skip the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Bangkok later in the week, where it was scheduled to meet with China’s most sensible leader, Xi Jinping, and President Emmanuel Macron. France.

Hun Sen and Biden shook hands Saturday in Phnom Penh. None were wearing masks. Later, they had an assembly that lasted about half an hour. On Monday night, Biden coughed while talking to reporters and told them he had a cold.
