Calumet County is next in line to host free coronavirus testing, as the health department announced a site at the county fairgrounds opening next week.
On Aug. 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Aug. 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., anyone can be tested for the presence of the virus — even if they don’t have symptoms, which is a first for the area.
People can enter the Calumet County fairgrounds from County G/South Madison Street and exit onto West Chestnut Street after driving through the site and taking the test, according to a Wednesday release from the county health department.
No appointments are necessary. Online registration via smartphone will be required upon arrival, the release said, but staff will be on hand to assist those who may not be able to register.

These tests, like the sites available in Menasha and Oshkosh this week, are available to any Wisconsin resident. Daily capacity will be capped at 500 tests.
Test results should be received by email or phone call in three to seven business days, and limited contact with others is recommended while waiting for results.
