British royal family news has shown that Prince William and Kate Middleton must be huge fans of one of the nations most beloved comedy shows. It comes after the couple were pictured visiting many of the touristy spots around Barry Island, Wales.
It was even more exciting for the locals, as it was the first joint outing for the pair after the lockdown regulations were eased in the United Kingdom. The couple had been visiting a care home in Cardiff this week, where they were berated for their lack of skills calling out in bingo. Comments made by one of the residents left William and Kate in stitches early this week.
It would seem as though Kate and William couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to pay a visit to Barry Island while they were in Wales. The destination is most famous for being the home of critically acclaimed comedy series Gavin and Stacey. The show made its long-awaited return to our screen at Christmas this year after a ten year break.
Gavin and Stacey remains one of the most successful comedy shows that has ever been broadcast in the United Kingdom, with the Christmas special smashing records as fans were desperate to see what had been going on in the lives of Gavin and Stacey, as well as Smithy and Nessa. The show is most famous for starring James Corden, as he was the breakout star of the series.
William and Kate were pictured paying a visit to Marco’s Café, where Stacey previously worked. While they also went into the arcade, which was where Nessa worked. The couple were also keen to speak about the impact on the area following the coronavirus pandemic, but William couldn’t resist talking to one businessman about football, as well as Corden and Jones and their impact on the local area.
