Jet2 says it will first be based in Bournemouth with two aircraft and will begin installations on April 1, 2025, with Tenerife as its first destination.
It will serve 16 destinations, mainly in the Mediterranean region, including Greece, Spain, Portugal and Turkey, as well as the Canary Islands.
The new base “significantly expands” the company’s footprint, he says.
Jet2 will operate up to 27 weekly flights from Bournemouth next summer.
