When the Mexican legislature meets this fall, it is about to pass a bill on the legalization of marijuana, the law will legalize hashish for all uses – recreational, medical, commercial – and create a Mexican Cannabis Institute to license the cultivation, processing, sale, import, export and marijuana studies. Both the country’s president and the ruler have supported the initiative and have already been approved through 3 Senate committees.
Supporters of the bill expect it to be the influence of drug cartels in Mexico. Marijuana accounts for more than a portion of cartel revenue, estimated at between $20 and $50 a year.
The following year has been the bloodiest of Mexico’s war on cartels: when security forces in the city of Culiacán attempted to arrest the son of drug trafficker El Chapo Guzmán in October 2019, they were outnumbered and armed through the Sinaloa cartel. , the gangsters ambushed Mexico City police leader with 400 rounds of semi-automatic rifles; In July, armed men from a cartel massacred 26 citizens of a drug rehabilitation center in Guanajuato.
Over the past decade, Mexico has suffered 250,000 homicides as a result of the war on drugs. Now, entire swathes of the country are controlled through organized crime, adding the states of Guerrero, Michoacán, Morelos and Tamaulipas. ) has killed more than a hundred officials in Jalisco state alone, along with federal, state and local police, infantry soldiers, mayors and councillors. In June, he killed a federal dictator about and his wife. A U. S. Military Intelligence Report The U. S. estimates that over a six-year period, 150,000 of the Mexican army’s 250,000 infantrymen have defected, and have earned better wages in the drug industry.
As president of Mexico from 2000 to 2006, Vicente Fox was an infantryman engaged in the war on drugs in Washington. But now Fox has told Time magazine that we are ending the ban “to take the entire production line out of the hands of criminals. “
Drugs, Fox added, are “bad for their fitness and should not be taken,” but at the end of the day, it’s the duty of [the] citizens. “
Fox has been in legalization for some time. “We see this as a strategy to hit and break the economic scheme that allows gangs to generate massive profits in their trade, fueling corruption and increasing their places of power,” he wrote since his ranch in 2010, a decade later, he hopes this marijuana bill will be the first step toward legalizing all drugs.
Mexico is the newest in a number of Latin American countries to reject the American drug policy technique. Uruguay is in a transit direction for marijuana and cocaine. When José Mujica was elected president there in 2009, he looked cautiously at drug cartels. who had taken over neighboring Paraguay. I knew they could also easily take over Uruguay.
One of Mujica’s first projects to legalize marijuana, with the expectation that all drugs can eventually follow. Latin American presidents have withheld legalization for fear of retaliation by the United States. But during that time, several U. S. states had liberalized their marijuana laws. This has helped Latin Americans withdraw from the war on drugs.
In 2009, Argentina’s Supreme Court ruled in a historic ruling that it was unconstitutional to prosecute citizens for drug possession for non-public use, and in 2012, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos warned that possibly the legalization of all drugs would be in order. Two years later, his country softened its prohibitionist stance by preventing aerial fumigation of the coca crop. Four years later, Colombia’s Constitutional Court legalized recreational cannabis.
The insurgency that has terrorized Colombia for decades has been fueled by illicit drug trafficking, says Daniel Raisbeck, who ran for mayor of Bogota, Colombia, in 2015 and is principal investigator of the Reason Foundation (which publishes the magazine). The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) without military relevance, with an army of rags of about 800 soldiers, but in 1982 it took the strategic resolution to participate in drug trafficking. FARCs have temporarily been greatly enriched. By the late 1990s, it had about 20,000 soldiers.
Raisbeck himself lost a circle of family members when the Medellin cartel shot down a Boeing 727 in 1989, in an attempt to assassinate a presidential candidate who intended to be on board. “This is just one of many senseless, ruthless and vicious acts of terror that I’ve remembered since I was a kid,” Raisbeck wrote in 2014.
Pedro Trujillo, professor of foreign affairs at Francisco Marroquón University in Guatemala City, lost two brothers to a heroin overdose, who believes they could have been alive to this day if there had been clinics where his brothers could take legal and drug doses while advising on addiction. Trujillo proposes “legalization in combination with schooling on the risks of drug use”.
Latin America’s wave of legalization comes at a time of growing skepticism in the United States about the effectiveness of the war on drugs, even among conservative lawmakers. In 2019, 91 Republicans joined 229 Democrats in passing a law that gives marijuana corporations full access to the law. U. S. banking system.
The beneficiaries of the war on drugs have been armed criminals, from the FARC to the Mexican cartels and the Taliban. When the ban ended in 1933, so did much of the criminal violence that haunted the United States during the prohibition era. Explanation why that will happen to yourself in your country if you end the drug ban.

It is moderate to say that if we legalize drugs, we eliminate the benefit of delinquent behavior, but that leaves out the Baptist / smuggling coalition that does not care about the suffering of the innocent and the regulatory / regulated coalition is hell. The annuity seeks to keep legal drugs as expensive as illegal products and will do nothing to eliminate the benefit.
You are right that regulatory capture may simply diminish or even many of the benefits of repealing the ban.
Unfortunately, I share your skepticism that legislatures do the right thing and decriminal.
We’ve noticed it in Colorado, Washington and California. Si legalize it and regulate it too much, you have the incentive to keep the black market running, while it’s almost about legally negotiating with black traders.
My father lives in Colorado and says that the value of legal marijuana products is based on what I paid for illegal products 20 years ago. Here in Maine, recreational reefers have been legal for years, but there is no company promoting them because the state has yet to set its rules, and no one is stupid enough to open a store that, at most, would be in violation of TB regulations.
The value of illegal marijuana, even in states where border CO has been reduced due to everything that is legal in the market, which does not contradict your statement, just be aware, that is: Yes, legal things can charge what illegal things charge 20 years ago, however, that’s much less than they charge for illegal things 3 years ago.

Not to mention that I can buy a can of Coca-Cola for less than $0. 50 and, one way or another, even without a regulatory catch, Coca-Cola generates a lot of money. On the same line, I think it’s the best time to stop. confuse marijuana legalization with the legalization of heroin or coca.
Legalizing it can simply alleviate some addiction and overdose problems, but it doesn’t eliminate them all. I’m pretty sure even many libertarians will stand by while the George Floyds surround the global fentanyl to the point. of dying and former cartel leaders are making billions, especially since many non-libertarians did not when various government agencies robbed Purdue’s family circle and various tobacco companies.
I think it’s the best time to avoid confusing marijuana legalization with the legalization of heroin or coke.

Just as fucking “expert witnesses” lie about drugs, legislation can put us at risk, forensic pathologists lie about autopsies so banners can let plate killers go. the other people who overtaken the police, or beat four, were VERY in the last seconds of death from an overdose, which in genuine life either occurs immediately or leaves them helpless before being lynched or gunned down. History seems to say that, in the short to medium term, you’re probably right. For God’s sake, Mississippi didn’t legalize alcohol until 1966 and there are still about a hundred counties and cities where you can’t buy alcohol. long-term, as with alcohol in the United States, it is highly likely that maximum local jurisdictions will legalize them, if only to increase their income through government-run businesses. “Decriminalization” will be another elsewhere.

Forcing others to obtain licenses to grow plants is violence.
More than that. It’s stupid.
To end Joe Biden’s racist with drugs.
Less violent than imprisoning others for developing plants.
Supporters of the bill expect it to be the influence of drug cartels in Mexico. Marijuana accounts for more than a portion of cartel revenue, estimated at between $20 and $50 a year.
Marijuana? Or marijuana in Mexico?
Because I doubt it’s the last one, in which case it’s just a little baby step.
gangsters ambushed Mexico City police leader with semi-automatic rifles
Did they just overlook it? Besides, do you know how much he’s spending 5. 56 right now? They gave the boy a bonus for a task performed.
As president of Mexico from 2000 to 2006, Vicente Fox was an infantryman engaged in the war on drugs in Washington. But now Fox has told Time magazine that we are ending the ban “to take the entire production line out of the hands of criminals. “
It is surprising how many people oppose the ban once they no longer have the strength to do anything: retired politicians, retired policemen . . .
The pension will give them independence. Ending Joe Biden’s racist drug war.
I laughed at that line. It’s like a quiet day on the beach.
I think the cartels will simply terrorize all possible valid transactions to send them.
“Hey, big legal MJ store you just opened, get this can of acid oil out of here. “
At the end of the day, there will be no difference.
Either they will be valid operations, in which case the violence will disappear, or they will be complex (even if that means they have to move on to other crimes).
The same goes for the end of the ban.
1 Kennedy family
Yes, it paints like a final ban to weaken the crowd.
I’m totally in favor of legalization, but for that to weaken the cartels is a fantasy.
I’m not so sure. Clearly, the ban allowed lcn to explode by offering a very lucrative complement to classic vice rackets. But the ban on ending has left them at a disadvantage of billions of dollars in revenue. You don’t hear about smuggling anymore, do you? You buy legal alcohol at a liquor store, don’t you?LCN and other families of criminals simply switched to heroin and then cocaine through the war on drugs. Legalize for adults and cartels would feel the paralyzing loss of income. More action would be needed. One thing is certain, however: ending the war on drugs is the most productive course of action.
The ban was paid through Glucose Trust and Fleischmann’s Yeast, which either eliminated brewers and distillers and sold malt, corn sugar and yeast to housewives, and to traders whom media mystics have dubbed mafias, organized the crime and others, basically because they retaliated. Dry Killers, they were all charged, assets seized and the banks went bankrupt. All this is in “Prohibition and The Crash” on Amazon.
The Democratic Republican Party of Kleptocracy, subsidized by Nixon, is the Poster. Drugs were a means to increase the secret budget for Cold War operations, but the habit remained after the Soviet collapse. Cleptocracy is the organizer and the crime. The libertarian vote is what weakens his ability to shoot young people in the leaves of plants and borrow houses and cars.
The cartels have gone under control of almost everything else in Mexico, they have evolved.
Business lasts forever. They’re getting ready.
Ending Joe Biden’s racist with drugs.
The old models of the pious dictatorship of the warlord in Spain and Portugal are popular in banana republics. Pseudoscience follows mysticism and other people will hear everything they hear from the teevee and pulpit. When was the last time the twisted American television network talked about Jo Jorgensen’s campaign?Parties in the south are prohibited at gunpoint everywhere except in Mexico and Uruguay.
Countries were repressed because of the United States.
A guy I knew from Columbia told me they tried to legalize some time ago. He said that each and every court had won a phone call from a guy in the cartel that said, “You vote yes and you’d better say goodbye to your circle of relatives tonight. “We probably wouldn’t kill you, but we’d never see them again. “
The Communists kidnapped others in Colombia in the early 1980s, and the cartels hunted them down like rats. It was only when American kleptocracy began the armed interference that the Communists began to break in there again, as did the American recessions of 1920-23. and 1929-34.
Drugs, Fox added, are “bad for health” and you should not take them, but after all, it is the duty of citizens. “
But as bad, in general, as cartels or governments. But I repeat myself.
Heroin is a very unsightly drug that interferes with digestion. Why would I use it?
Addiction is a symptom of PTSD. Says Nobel Prize winner Dr Eric Kandel. Lonny Shavelson found that 70% of those affected by heroin had been sexually abused as children.
Ending Joe Biden’s racist with drugs.
People use it because it makes them feel smart or gives them some other advantage. . . at least at first. Street heroin (not pharmaceutical heroin) is unsightly, due to adulteration, but in chemical terms, ubiquitous and socially accepted alcohol is literally toxin that kills many more people and is sometimes much worse.
In fact, in addition to killing pain, heroin slows peristalsis in a dose-dependent way, such as maximum opioids. Throughout history, one of the main uses of opioids has been antidiarrheal. There are now medications that can mitigate the constipation effect. and some patients with chronic pain who take opioids in high doses take them.
Do you want to communicate about interference with digestion? Alcohol poisons the digestive tract and can cause acid reflux, ulcers, lesions on the lining of the abdomen and pyloric sphincter, varicose veins of the esophagus, abdominal cancers and digestion, and a number of other life-threatening problems. And it’s just the digestive tract. Find out what it does to the center and brain in case of genuine concern (for example, dilated cardiomyopathy and Wernicke’s encephalitis are only two).
Anyway, yes, Biden and Harris are the main architects of the war on drugs. People own their bodies and bear the consequences. I saw the consequences up close, because my sister died as a result of an opioid/benzo OD a few years ago. It’s time to end the war on drugs and unconstitutional courts (which exist only to tax drug addicts and their families for their “bad behavior”).
Most other people don’t like the effect of heroin. See Drugs and The Mind through RS De Ropp.

If drug use is concentrated in the United States, Mexico in the rest of Latin America, how the hell is that intended to weaken cartels?
The consistent percentage of LP votes increases with a slope of approximately 1. 2 or 80% consistent with the year. Both looting parties are pushing for the ban, so whoever loses will blame our sabotage votes and repeal the legislation to minimize its effect next time. The only vote that claims to legalize LSD, mescaline, fungi, DMT and countless things doomed through matching distortion and pseudoscience. People can decide between shooting young people and having freedom.
