BRASILIA – Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro issued a decree Thursday to supply 1.9 billion reais ($356 million) in budget to buy and produce a COVID-19 vaccine being developed through AstraecaZen PLC and researchers from the University of Oxford.
Brazil’s acting fitness minister, Eduardo Pazuello, said the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine is the world’s most promising vaccine to fight the virus and that generation would be acquired through Brazil, which is facing america’s worst outdoor epidemic.
