Brazilian police search Bolsonaro’s house for Covid data

Brazil’s federal police conducted searches Wednesday at the home of former President Jair Bolsonaro, according to someone interested in the investigation.

An operation is underway to investigate the insertion of false information about Covid-19 vaccination into public fitness systems. People who were not vaccinated registered as vaccinated to download the certificate required to enter other countries. Federal police did not respond to a request for comment.

Police are also issuing several arrest warrants, adding Bolsonaro’s former adviser, Lt. Col. Mauro Cid Barbosa, who acted as the former president’s secretary.
