BRASILIA – Brazil reported that 8501 showed more cases of the new coronavirus in more than 24 hours and 179 deaths due to COVID-19, the Ministry of Health announced on Monday.
The South American country has recorded 5,554,000 cases since the start of the pandemic, while the official death toll has increased to 160,253, according to ministry data, in the world’s deadliest outdoor epidemic in the United States (report via Anthony Boadle, edited through Franklin Paul)
