RIO DE JANEIRO – Brazilian fitness regulator Anvisa said Tuesday that it has not yet won a request for approval of the new Russian COVID-19 vaccine, as the Paraná state government said in talks to produce locally.
Anvisa said it may not comment on the protection or efficacy of the vaccine until it has received official knowledge from the Russian laboratory culprit in the vaccine. Russia said Tuesday that it was in a position to market the vaccine, which has not finished mass popular testing.
