Boris Johnson was questioned on his first day of appearance in the Covid investigation.
The former prime minister’s apologies to Covid patients and their families at the beginning of the interrogation were interrupted by protesters, who had to be escorted out of the room.
The four deported women told reporters that their condition had symptoms that read, “The dead don’t listen to your excuses. “
Johnson has answered questions about his and his government’s actions at the start of the pandemic, a recommendation he won in February 2020 about border controls and the “toxic” environment reported in Downing Street.
However, Johnson doesn’t know what happened to the roughly 5,000 WhatsApp messages that disappeared from his phone between Jan. 30 and June 2020.
Before questioning on Wednesday, the Times newspaper reported that Mr Johnson had told Lady Hallet that technical experts had been unable to access WhatsApp messages.
Decisions related to lockdowns, social distancing measures, and other government regulations during the pandemic have been criticized in the years since, and the survey is expected to help determine the effectiveness of decision-making in the No. 10 spot during this period.
