Blinken urges Armenian and Azeri leaders to hostilities, says U. S. State Department. USA

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U. S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken held separate calls overnight with the Armenian minister and Azerbaijani president to explain Washington’s considerations on fighting along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the State Department said on Tuesday.

Blinken suggested to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to halt hostilities and said Washington will push for a quick halt to the fighting, the branch said.
