‘Big Four’ banks cut deposit interest rates to COVID-19 levels

Two other state-owned advertising banks, Vietinbank and BIDV, reduced their deposit rates on September 19 to the lowest point recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both cut rates by 0. 2 or 0. 3 issues on deposits 3 months or more old.

The 12-month deposit rate also fell from 0. 3% based on percentage issues to 5. 5% per annum. For one- and two-month deposits, the rate remains at 3%.

These rates correspond to those of Vietcombank and Agribank, which were revised downwards on 14th September.
