Biden to nominate former COVID czar Jeff Zients as new staff leader

President Biden has touted Zients’ paintings since the beginning of his administration when he hired him to lead COVID-19 management efforts.

“There’s no one but Jeff to get effect,” Biden said at the time.

Biden credited Zients for putting “decades of control experience into working to formulate and execute a plan to build the infrastructure we needed to deliver vaccines, tests, medicines, and masks to many millions of Americans. “

The president’s former COVID-19 coordinator also led efforts to fix HealthCare. gov after its failed launch in 2013, and once he takes office, he will continue to drive economic expansion through job creation, a boom in production and small businesses, and lower prices for American families.

Zients once served as acting director and deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget under President Obama, and their strong trade relationships are expected to be an asset to the Biden administration.

Zients was past co-chair of Biden’s transition team and has worked at Facebook, The Advisory Board Company and CEB.

He has also been part of President Biden’s inner circle for many years and has developed relationships with each and every member of his senior adviser organization.

Klain, a longtime Biden confidant and Democratic operative, was the longest-serving staff leader of a Democratic president. In the past, he was Biden’s staff leader when he was vice president of Obama’s administration and is a lawyer and former lobbyist.

A graduate of Harvard Law School, Klain began his career as a candidate for then-Delaware senator. Biden’s failed campaigns in 1988 and 2008 for the White House.

The turmoil comes as Biden faces the biggest scandal of his presidency to date, with caches of misplaced classified documents being discovered in his personal apartment in Wilmington, Delaware.

Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a special representative to investigate the case in early January, calling former U. S. Attorney Robert Hur.

The timing of Klain’s departure and Zients’ arrival as leader remains unclear.

The White House responded to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
