When it comes to inflation in Florida, President Joe Biden confuses the war in Iraq with the existing war in Ukraine.
President Joe Biden mistakenly said in a speech Tuesday that inflation caused by the war in Iraq, before correcting himself by saying the war in Ukraine. Biden said he was wrong because his son, Beau Biden, died in Iraq.
The president gathered the Democratic Party in Hallandale Beach, Florida, on Tuesday afternoon, where he focused on legislation to reduce inflation.

But in his speech, Biden said global inflation was due to the war in Iraq and that his son died there, before correcting himself and referring to the war in Ukraine.

“Inflation is a global challenge right now, because of a war in Iraq and the effect on oil, and what Russia is doing. . . excuse me, the war in Ukraine,” Biden said. I think about Iraq because that’s where my son died. “
Biden did something similar in Vail, Colorado, on Oct. 12.

Beau died in 2015 of cancer.
