President Biden underwent a COVID-19 test Wednesday after his first visit to Las Vegas and will isolate in Delaware, the White House announced.
Biden tested positive for the virus on Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement. He said the president “vaccinated and boosted” and had mild symptoms.
“He will return to Delaware, where he will isolate himself and continue to perform all his duties during this period,” Jean-Pierre said. “The White House will provide regular updates on the president’s standing as he continues to perform all of his duties while isolated. “
A maskless Biden arrived Wednesday afternoon at Nevada’s Harry Reid International Airport, following the announcement of his diagnosis. Reporters asked him about his condition as he made his way to Air Force One.

In an article about X, Biden laid out his COVID diagnoses.

Biden’s doctor said the president is suffering from respiratory symptoms, a runny nose and a non-productive cough, with general malaise.
