(RTTNews) – Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited and the Serum Institute of India have announced their goal of cooperating on a COVID-19 vaccine.
The Serum Institute of India has partnered with AstraZeneca, the Gates Foundation and Gavi to produce more than one billion doses of a vaccine for the supply.
Under the terms of the agreement, Beximco will make a monetary contribution to advance the development of the vaccine, which will be adjusted to the value of the vaccine.
Beximco will be the exclusive supplier of the vaccine in Bangladesh. The company will supply more quantities of vaccine to distribute on Bangladesh’s paid personal market.
Beximco noted that the amount of doses to be sent to Bangladesh as a precedent and the amount of BPL investment will have regulatory approvals, SIIS production capacity and past commitments with other countries.
