Tap NY debuted in 1998 and has since become one of the largest beer festivals in the entire country.
Their website states that the event was originally known as the Hudson Valley Food and Beer Festival and was held at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park.
Just two years later, the festival had already grown so fast that they had to move to Hunter Mountain. From there, the festival attracted the brightest new breweries from across the state, as the craft beer boom exploded into the new millennium.
After a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tap NY would move back to the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in May 2022.
The Saturday Tap NY Craft Beer & Music Festival that Tap NY 2024 is canceled.
Organizers said it was the result of “creative differences” between them and Bethel. However, the occasion will return, as the online page Tap NY states that they “are excited to resume in 2025 in a new location. “
