MINSK, 9 January (BelTA) – It is planned to allocate 45% of the state budget to the social field. Belarusian First Deputy Finance Minister Dmitry Kiyko made the statement on Belarusian TV channel STV, BelTA learned.
Dmitry Kiyko: “The budget will maintain a social orientation this year. Social spending will amount to 45%, or just over Br 27 billion, or 17. 6% more [compared to last year]. “
Special attention will be paid to the payment of salaries. The real income of the population is expected to grow by 4. 1%. Public sector wages are expected to grow by an average of 16%. In absolute terms, the accumulation will be Br 3. 8 billion. The state budget will pay a total of Br 23. 5 billion in salaries. The fundamental amount, which is used to calculate the official salary before bonuses, has already been accumulating since January 1.
Social orientation is mainly related to health care. Up to Br 10. 4 billion will be spent in 2023, up from Br 8. 9 billion in 2022. As much as Br 10. 3 billion will be spent on education, up to Br 8. 3 billion in 2022. The government intends to spend more on medicines, medical devices and ambulances.
In 2023, the government will continue to pay attention to treatment in health centers and hotels, culture and sports. “The promises provided by the state are fulfilled through the budget,” Kiyko emphasized.
