Belarus’ Minister of Education said his government would give itself completely to school reforms in Sri Lanka.
The resolution was announced in a discussion with Education Minister Susil Premajayantha on his official stop in Belarus.
During the meeting, Minister Premajayantha told Belarusian Education Minister Andrei Ivanets that a large number of young people from Sri Lanka entered Belarusian universities to continue their higher education.
Minister Premajayantha explained the facts related to the updating of school and university curricula in Sri Lanka to adapt them to new educational methods.
The school also recalled that a large number of Sri Lankan medical scholars study in Belarus, and the long-term health of those academics was also discussed at length.
Meanwhile, the focus was on the allocation of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Education of Belarus and Sri Lanka. (Chaturanga Samarawickama)
