Belarus’ economic targets for 2023 presented

MINSK, October 7 (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko presented on October 7 the main objectives for 2023 by informing representatives of the army, security agencies and law enforcement on military, political, social and economic aspects in Minsk, BelTA reported.

The government is finishing painting forecast documents for 2023. “The main objectives are to boost commercial production, increase exports and investment progress. In particular, the government plans long-term infrastructure allocations of Br 8 billion: schools, hospitals, gymnasiums, roads, etc. Investment allocations will be implemented by mandate of the Head of State under the One district – one allocation program: 129 production allocations value more than Br four billion. In addition, we are making plans for more than five import substitution allocations to the song of more than Br five billion,” Golovchenko noted.

According to him, the Belarusian economy has resisted sanctions and entered mobilization mode. The warring parties did not achieve their objective. Still, much remains to be done. “Obviously, the tension is going to increase. The West is discouraged because measures against Russia or Belarus have not led to the desired result. The West has in principle exhausted the prospect of serious sanctions. Of course, there are also internal difficulties. These come with inflation, a slight decrease in the point of real household income, still high interest rates on loans, etc. But we can also see this as the value to pay for independence,” the prime minister said.
